The Flickr folk are coming out with a list of 'most interesting photos' that's automatically generated from actions of friends and strangers. Comments, http://www.opticalinstrument.com.au , views, http://www.opticalinstrument.com.au , favorites, http://www.opticalinstrument.com.au , etc.. I think they may be stuck on how to deal with the sheer number of good photos and the variability of groups of people's commenting/favoriting habits. I've seen some photos that get commented on seemingly because that's what the gang always does, not because it's an astounding photo. I've also seen photos that are raved over that don't have very high favoriting ratios. Oh the unpredictability of humans!
